GENERAL INFORMATION ALFAN manufactures 560 (22"), 660 (26"), 760 (30"), and 1270 (50") type ventilation fans to meet changing needs. In addition to fans, only louvers and blades are also produced upon request. Fan louver sets are easily removable and replaceable. This also facilitates cleaning the inside of the fan. All ALFAN ventilation fan housings are manufactured from galvanized steel sheet. For fan blades, three different options are offered: aluminum, galvanized steel, and stainless steel. All blade types have a special curve to increase strength and efficiency. Aluminum Blades: These blades are manufactured from a special aluminum alloy. Their thickness is 2 mm. Galvanized Steel Blades: These blades are manufactured from galvanized steel sheet. Their thickness is 1 mm. Stainless Steel Blades: Produced from two grades of stainless steel, 304 and 430, upon request. Their thickness is 1 mm. Fan Louver Opening System Three different opening systems are available: The louvers open with centrifugal force, which is converted into mechanical force by the rotation of the blades. The louvers are balanced with extra weights mounted on them. Centrifugal force is generated by the rotation of the blades, and the louvers open with this centrifugal force and close thanks to the extra weight. The louvers open and close with air pressure and suction. Fans mounted with this system are very practical. The portability of the louvers facilitates internal fan cleaning. Fan Operating System ALFAN fans operate silently with their motor-belt-pulley system. The pulley is made of aluminum casting, and a specially designed bearing is used to extend the fan's service life. The circular frame around the fan is made of galvanized steel sheet. The louvers open when the fan is running and close when the fan stops. A specially designed protective wire is located at the back of the fans. The fans are mounted to the wall with screws located on the outer frame. Belt Tensioning System The belt of an axial fan, which operates according to a motor-belt-pulley system, can stretch over time. A tensioning system is necessary to prevent a decrease in fan capacity and the belt from coming off. Achieving the necessary tension in axial fans with today's technology is difficult due to the extra time and labor required. However, thanks to the belt tensioning system developed by ALFAN, tensioning the fan belt takes only 10-15 seconds. After the necessary tensioning is done, it can be secured with the wing nut and bolt in the belt tensioning system. The ALFAN belt tensioning system works as follows: The tensioning tool moves the nut located at the back of the fan in the axial direction. Thus, the belt gains the necessary tension.
